外国佬的评价,呵呵
Hi,
I want to buy a 61-note midi keyboard, mainly for playing VSTi's and I was wondering which is the best one I can get at an affordable price?! Here are the ones I am considering:
- Keystation 61es (is this the best one regarding quality of keys, doesn't it have limited knobs?)
- Radium 61 (lots of knobs, but how good is quality of keys?)
- Evolution MK-461C (what about this one?)
- Studiologic Fatar SL-161 (Fatar has good reputation, but how good is it with VSTi's)
- Edirol PCR-80
- any I forgot?
So which one do you recommend and which one(s) should I avoid and why?! I hear alot of good things about the Keystation 61es, but it doesn't seem to have many knobs like the Radium 61 for instance? Fatar and Edirol are perhaps great quality, but they take more space and I don't know if they are aimed so much towards VSTi's like the Keystation and Evolution controllers?! Perhaps the bundled software also makes a difference for setting up the keyboard for use with VSTi's?
Anybody has any experience with one or more of the above so you perhaps compare? Which do you recommend? Thanks to anybody who can give good advise!

I have the Keystation 61es. I highly recommend it, though unfortunately I'm biased because I don't have any of the other ones you listed. The quality of the keys is excellent (nice mix between a piano-like feel and springy feel for synths) I love the velocity-sensitive keys since it aids me greatly in music making and it is fairly portable at 11 lbs.
However, if you're into heavy synth stuff maybe you might need the extra knobs that the Radium 61 offers, especially if you're playing live. It's also very light at 7 lbs and I've seen some pretty good deals at various resellers. But does it have the velocity sensitive keys? I'm too lazy to look it up.
I hope that helps a little bit. I'm sorry that I wasn't too specific, but I'd be glad to answer any additional questions.

I would recommend the Edirol PCR keyboards. They seem to be the highest quality, most playable keyboards with the most stable drivers. Plus, you can easily create, save, and share control setups via the PCR Editor software app.

61es hands down, it is *the* best 61-note keyboard quality-wise, but it doesn't have all the knobs of the radium keyboard which might be useful for synths and changing midi CC values on the fly. |
